Meet your new best friend.

Aurora is a Cane Corso Mastiff mix that is around 8 months old and weighs about 52  pounds. She has been with us for about 3 months and is a very sweet girl. She does very  well with other dogs and loves to run and play. She also loves her one-on-one time with  people getting lots of love and attention. Aurora is a quick learner and very gentle. If you’re  looking for a hiking partner that enjoys cuddle time as well Aurora would be a great match.

Bailey is a sweet and spunky 13 year old beagle that weighs about 29 pounds. She was  surrendered to us about a month ago. She is such a sweet and loving girl. She loves sharing our snacks and following us around while we do our daily tasks. She does very well with other dogs although with her age calmer dogs are better for her. She still gets around great  and is always so excited to see everyone who comes in the door.

Meet Bubba! Bubba is a 5 and a 1/2 month old Australian Cattle Dog mix. He is dog friendly, and the sweetest boy. He can be a bit shy at first, but once he warms up all he wants to do is play. Currently weighing 27lbs, we expect him to be 40-45lbs full grown.

Meet Freya, our sweet senior girl. Weighing in at 72lbs currently, Freya is a roughly 8 year old mastiff mix. She was picked up by animal control in Rensselaer County in bad shape. A local vet clinic helped her recover, and now she's with us waiting to find her forever home. Freya is very food motivated and loves to spend her time asking to play fetch. She is not  fully dog tested, but so far her only reaction is to start playing with them. To adopt or foster  Freya, please fill out a form on our website.

Gus has been with us for 3 months. He is a 78-pound Anatolian Shepherd mix that is around 1 year old. He is a huge goofball and an absolute cuddle bug. He is very outgoing when it comes to people and other dogs. He is our gentle giant here at the kennel with a personality that matches his size. If you’re looking for an oversized lapdog or a dog to fill your life with laughs Gus will certainly be the one to do that.

Holly is an 8 month old Shepherd mix weighing about 47 pounds. She has been with us for about 3 months and is a very shy but loving girl. We’re working with Holly a lot to get her more comfortable and confident. She is a big cuddle bug but takes a bit of time to warm up  to people. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to be outside playing. 

Lazlo is a 5 year old Chihuahua mix that weighs about 16 pounds. He has been with us now for a little over a year. He is a very sweet but super shy boy. He’s still working on coming out of his shell. He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and a more quiet surrounding area. Lazlo takes some time to warm up to people and is still not 100% trusting but is still a work in progress. He loves to be out and running with the other dogs here at the rescue. Lazlo takes a bit of time to warm up to people. He needs lots of patience and love.

Logan is about a year old. He is a Collie/Jack Russell mix (we think) and weighs about 39 pounds. He has been with us since he was around 4 months old. He does great with all  dogs and is very gentle and adjusts his play style to fit who he’s playing with. He does great  with dogs of all ages and sizes. Logan came to us very frightened and untrusting of people. He has come a long way since he got here and is slowly starting to come out of his shell. He is still very shy with people but we have been working with introducing him to more people and things to help built his confidence and get him more comfortable. He would do great in a home with another dog and will definitely take time to adjust as he can be very sensitive  to new things. He is such a sweet and smart boy that just needs time to get to know the right forever home.

Molly is an 8 month old Shepherd mix weighing about 54 pounds. Just like her sister she is very shy but warms up to people a lot quicker. She is very sweet, loving, and gentle. She does great with other dogs and loves being outside or cuddled up with you. She is very bright and food motivated. Molly would make a great family dog or do great in a single person home.

Tico is a 1 year old Blackmouth Cur mix that weighs around 51 pounds. He has been with  us for about 9 months and is such a sweet and loving boy. He gets along well with other dogs but likes a slow introduction with them. He is very weary of people but is very food motivated. If you have food, you have a best friend. He loves to come up and cuddle, play fetch, and go on walks. He’s always giving lots of kisses and is always curious about everything.  

Zeus is a 1 year old pit mix that weighs about 68 pounds. He was a stray in Rensselaer County NY that was due to be euthanized. He is a big goofball! He is very active and does well with other dogs. He has been with us for 3 weeks and is thriving. He would be a great fit for someone with an active lifestyle.

Zola is a Cane Corso Mastiff mix that is around 6 months old and weighs about 54 pounds. She has been with us for about 3 months. She is a ball of energy and loves to play. She does  well with other dogs but in small groups or one on one. We’re currently working with her jumping up when over excited. She is very sweet and would be a great partner for someone active.
