Meet Aster, a 9 week old Australian Cattle Dog mix from Alabama. Aster is as spunky as any Cattle Dog can be, and he's always showing us his silly side. He currently weighs 11lbs, and we expect him to be between 35-45lbs full-grown.

Meet Oak, one of our 9 week old Australian Cattle Dog mixes. Oak is speedy, playful, and cuddly. He loves to play tug with his siblings. Currently weighing 10lbs, we expect him to be 30-45lbs full-grown.

Meet Freya, our sweet senior girl.! Weighing in at 80lbs , she is an 8 year old mastiff mix. She was picked up by animal control in Rensselaer County in bad shape. A local vet clinic helped her recover, and now she's with us waiting to find her forever home. Freya loves to spend her time asking to play fetch. She is great with other dogs and loves to get her chill on with her human. She will make a terrific companion.

Holly is a 12 month old Shepherd mix weighing about 60 pounds. She has a big heart, soulful eyes, and an independent spirit. She is quite shy with new people, but once she warms up she will be your loving, faithful companion. She does great with other dogs, loves being outside, and happy to sit cuddled up with you.

Jasper is a 44-pound Shiba Inu/Lab mix that’s around 1 year old. He’s a ball of energy, but also happy to chill on the couch. He’s a very curious, bright boy who loves to explore. He is currently being fostered, so he is great in a home environment, house trained, loves leash walks, and even loves his cat companion. Jasper is ready to be your best friend!

Lazlo is a 5 year old Chihuahua mix that weighs about 16 pounds. He has been with us now for a little over a year. He is a very sweet but super shy boy. He’s still working on coming out of his shell. He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and a more quiet surrounding area. Lazlo takes some time to warm up to people and is still not 100% trusting but is still a work in progress. He loves to be out and running with the other dogs here at the rescue. Lazlo takes a bit of time to warm up to people. He needs lots of patience and love.

Malaysia (white and grey spots) is a 54-pound Staffy mix that’s around 3 years old. This girl is energy filled but also loves affection and cuddle time, she is a big lover and such goof ball! Malaysia is heartworm positive; we are in the process of starting her on heartworm treatment to get this girly fixed up and back to frolicking, running, and playing freely!

Raylee that is a 72-pound Staffy mix that is around 3 years old. She is very curious and independent. She loves to get pets and cuddle’s but also likes to do her own thing. She’s a perfect mix of couch potato and hiking buddy. We are in the process of starting her on heartworm treatment to get this girly fixed up and back to frolicking, running, and playing freely!

Sammy is a 1 year old 55lb Lab mix. He is very affectionate and just loves attention and scrunches. He is also a big goofball as he bounds around the yard and plays with other dogs. He loves to be outside or cuddled up. He would make a great hiking buddy or companion to another family dog.

Scotty is a 10 month old 42-pound Staffy mix. This handsome little guy loves to snuggle up and loves to just run and play! He loves to make his rounds to all the staff to get his back rubs and kisses in! He is an absolute mush puppy.

Tico is a 1 year old Blackmouth Cur mix that weighs around 51 pounds. He has been with  us for about 9 months and is such a sweet and loving boy. He gets along well with other dogs but likes a slow introduction with them. He is very weary of people but is very food motivated. If you have food, you have a best friend. He loves to come up and cuddle, play fetch, and go on walks. He’s always giving lots of kisses and is always curious about everything.  

Zara is a 68-pound Cane Corso mix that is around 4 years old. She has been at the rescue with us for a year now. She is very shy and gets scared very easily. She is a gentle and loving soul who needs lots of love, patience, and time. She is a huge love bug and is wonderful with any dog she encounters. Whether it be puppies, or adult dogs, she loves them all! She has improved so much since she has come to us and continues to come out of her shell more and more. She likes to get her zoomies out in the yard jumping around and throwing toys around, and when she’s ready to come in she knows right where to go. Zara also loves to just be a big couch potato, add in some cuddle/lap time and she couldn’t be happier!

Zeus is a 1 year old pit mix that weighs 72lbs. He was a stray in Rensselaer County NY that was due to be euthanized. He is a big goofball! He is very active and does well with other dogs. He has been with us for 3 weeks and is thriving. He would be a great fit for someone with an active lifestyle.

Mallory, mama of Pepper. Mallory was found abandoned in a field with her five puppies. She is roughly a year old, Boxer/Staffy mix and weighs 36lbs. When Mallory came to us, she was extremely frightened of everything. She is an absolute sweetheart and is finally starting to open up. She is very playful with other dogs and is a huge snuggle bug. She is still very shy with new people but with a little bit of time and patience she will easily become your best friend.

Pepper is a 9-pound Boxer/Staffy mix pup that's about 9 weeks old. He’s a little ball of energy with a big personality. He loves to be out playing with all the other pups.

Bean is a 7 pound, nine-week-old Golden Retriever/Pit mix. He’s sweet, spunky, and always ready to play. He loves to socialize with people as well as playing with the other pups!

Cody is a 9 pound, nine-week-old Golden Retriever/Pit mix. He takes great pride in getting all the attention he can get! He’s a big goofball that is always bouncing around.

Staffy/Boxer/Rotti Mix. Female. 16 weeks of age. Scarlett is sweet and shy, inquisitive and observant, and loves to snuggle. She was born with a unique docked tail.

Staffy/Boxer/Rotti Mix. Female. 16 weeks of age. Simone is a darling lone wolf. She is as sweet as the day is long, loves playing with toys and getting cozy with people.

Sasha is a 68-pound Boxer/Staffy mix that is about 2 years old. She is mama to Scarlett and Simone. She is an absolute sweetheart that gets along well with dogs but would rather be alongside her person. She is very affectionate and well mannered. She is the mom of the “S” puppies. If you’re looking for a companion to go on walks with or just cuddle up on the couch, Sasha is your girl!

Scooter is a 50-pound Shepherd Mix that is about a year old. He is a very athletic boy. He loves to zoom and play with the other dogs. He loves attention and is very food motivated. Scooter is a giant goofball that would be a great fit for a go getter kind of family.

Lab/Staffy Mix. Female. 15 weeks old. Leah is an independent young lady who loves letting everyone know that she is in charge. She loves to roll in the grass and curl up on her bed for a nap.

Boxer mix. Female. 14 weeks old. Talia is a spunky love bug. She loves to play with her pack mates and getting scrunches.

Boxer mix. Female. 14 weeks old. Lexi is playful and loving. She is happy to curl up on your lap and gaze into your eyes. She has a sweet face and a charming underbite.

Kay is a 42-pound Lab/Staffy mix that is about 2 years old. This little girl is super shy, but oh, so, sweet! Kay was saved from the streets of Alabama with a severely embedded collar, neglected, and starved. Their community came together to catch and save her life. She is slowly opening up and finding her place with us. She loves being with other dogs. Patience, tenderness, care, and love is what will win her heart over.

Daisy is a 59-pound Brittany Spaniel/Plott Hound mix that is about 2 years old. She is a gorgeous, elegant, intelligent young dog. She loves to run and play, and she is happy curled up on the couch getting scrunches. She loves people and is good with other dogs. She is very well behaved, house trained, great on leash, and ready to be a loving part of your family!
